Sustainability

For APOD, sustainability is not a goal to be achieved, but a continuous journey that starts from the land and involves every daily decision.

sustainability in agriculture

Sustainable commitment

Our commitment to a more sustainable future is supported by several pillars.

We believe in an agriculture capable of generating value while respecting the environment, people, and natural resources.
Technological innovation, energy efficiency, and protection of the territory are the pillars of our commitment: we work every day to build an agricultural model that combines tradition and future, ensuring quality, traceability, and respect for the ecosystem.

Circular economy and respect for the soil

We recycle agricultural materials such as polystyrene and small tubes and reuse production waste as natural fertilizers, returning to the soil what nature offers us.

Responsible water management

Responsible water management

We use micro-irrigation systems, rainwater collection and recovery, and a treatment plant located in our San Severo facility to reduce waste and guarantee water savings of up to 25%, in line with SPRING standards.

Technology and innovation serving sustainability

Over 90% of our vehicles are 4.0, and harvesting is almost entirely mechanized, ensuring more efficient and traceable management.
Weather stations monitor environmental parameters in real time, optimizing irrigation and energy use.

use of clean energy

Clean energy and zero GMOs

We produce energy from photovoltaic systems (100 kW/h) installed at the San Severo facility, and we cultivate in full respect of nature, with 100% GMO-free production.

We work every day to reduce the environmental impact of our activities and to build an agricultural model that respects the land and the people who cultivate it.

Collaboration with the University of Naples for agricultural innovation

Smart Agriculture: an innovation project for sustainability

We have launched a three-year project with the University of Naples Federico II to develop predictive models and digital tools that optimize resources, reduce environmental impact, and guide companies toward more sustainable agriculture.
